The purpose of the project is to standardise the method of preparation, as well as the content and format, of Regional Spatial Plans. Regional Spatial Plans are a new document with which we have so far had no experience, apart from attempts to prepare regional spatial development concepts under the Spatial Planning Act of 2003.
Clear and uniform guidelines are needed for the preparation of Regional Spatial Plans; otherwise, given the lack of experience among the resulting documents would likely not be comparable with one another, or their quality could even be questionable.
The objective of the project is therefore to prepare guidelines on the content and format of Regional Spatial Plans, together with illustrative/sample representations, as well as guidelines on the method of preparing Regional Spatial Plans.
