Library

Library of Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia is a special library with information and documentation service. It works since 1960. It is intended primarily for employees of the Institute, but open to the general public. Library collects, manages, keeps and loans materials from the field of urbanism, architecture, geography and sociology.

Library stock

More than 25.000 units of library material, of which more than 2000 projects of the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia - more than 300 titles (around 4.900 volumes) of periodicals: Slovene and international journals from the field of urbanism, architecture, geography and sociology; newspapers.

Services

• Lending period 30 days (for books) or 14 days (for periodicals): entire collection except archive collection of the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia projects, latest volumes of periodicals, reference books and newspapers. The use of the reading room for studying or viewing archive collection and newspapers, Internet access and computer use for writing and editing text, Support at search for the literature and information.

Working hours

From Monday to Friday: from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tuesdays also from 3 p.m. till 5 p.m.

Summertime working hours (july & august):
From Monday to Friday: from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
