Vlasta Vodeb received BA in Sociology of Culture and Philosophy, an MSc and PhD in Sociology from the Faculty of Art, University of Ljubljana (2004). In relation to urban planning she is mainly involved in projects on demography, accessibility, gender mainstreaming and cultural heritage. In recent years, her main research topic has been analysis of demographic change at international and local level. She finds demographic studies for municipalities, where combining classic demographic studies with modern technologies of spatial simulations, of special challenge. She is a member of various international networks; she led international and national projects, lectured on the topic of gender mainstreaming and accessibility in Slovenia and abroad.
