Nada Hozjan holds a degree in economics and a master's degree in intercultural management. After graduating from the Faculty of Economics/Business School of the University of Ljubljana in 2000, she began her professional career in the state administration, namely in the field of financial operations and the implementation of the budget of the Republic of Slovenia within the framework of the Ministry of the Interior (2000 - 2007) and the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning (2007-2010). Since 2010, she has worked in the field of first-level financial control of European Territorial Cooperation projects for Slovenian beneficiaries, first within the framework of the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning, which acted as a national authority and national control body, but in 2014 this role was taken over by the Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy. In 2014, she started her master's studies (Bologna level 2) in intercultural management at the School of advanced social studies in Nova Gorica, and in 2017 she successfully completed studies with a master's thesis that shows the development of European territorial cooperation over time and the intensity of participation of Slovenian institutions in transnational cooperation - from the program period 2000 - 2006 to November 2016, (European territorial cooperation at the transnational level).
Since 2019, she is employed at UIRS, where she provides project support to researchers in the application and implementation processes of international and national projects.
She is positive, communicative and organized person, in her spare time she likes to do various sports activities in nature and practices yoga.
