Barbara Mušič is an architect and urbanist with many years of experience in spatial and urban planning. She has been employed as a researcher at the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia since 2007. She is involved in projects at the local, national and international level of research and applied nature. For some of them she took the role of the project manager and a coordinator especialy on the local and international level. Her field of work is strategic spatial planning, urban renewal and energy efficiency related to urban planning. Between 2006 – 2014 she was upgrading her knowledge on the local level through the role of the municipal councilor and as a president of the Committee for Spatial Planning, Environmental Protection and Real Estate Management of the Municipality of Ivančna Gorica. From 2012 to 2014 she was a member of the Executive Board of the Town and Spatial Planning Association of Slovenia.
