Tjaša Kolar graduated in 2023 from the Department of Geography and the Department of Art History at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, with a thesis titled Historical and Spatial Development of the Old Square in Ljubljana. In her thesis, she examined, among other topics, gentrification, touristification, and living conditions. As part of her practical training, she assisted the Local Action Group (LAG) Ljubljana Marshlands and Hinterland in preparing workshops for the local population on the topic of cultural and natural heritage. She is currently working on her master’s thesis entitled Perception and Adaptation of rural communities to climate change in the LAG Ljubljana Marshlands and Hinterland. She has previously collaborated with the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia as a student, and since 2025, she has been employed there full-time. Her main research interests are housing studies and climate change.
