CV
Nataša Viršek Ravbar has already had considerable international experience in the development of karst water sources protection and management strategies. She has lead a number of international and domestic projects. In a previous research project she developed a general approach for karst water vulnerability and contamination risk assessment. It has been used several times in karst areas at home and abroad.
Her research results have been published in numerous national and international publications and journals indexed in SCI Expanded (39 scientific papers). The importance of her work is also demonstrated by the number of quotations in WoS (> 300) and by invitations received to be keynote speaker to several international conferences (USA, China, etc.). She passes on her knowledge as a university lecturer and thesis supervisor. Numerous invitations to review scientific articles, and evaluate scientific institutions and project proposals have proved that her work and knowledge is appreciated worldwide.
She also has managerial, editorial (co-editor of Acta Carsologica) and organisational (Vice President of the International Geographical Union Karst Commission) skills and has experience as a project leader. She is a member of numerous international editorial boards, commissions and associations and organises international scientific events.
