Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMP) are based on good practices from numerous European cities that successfully implement the principles of integrated transport planning. They deliver measurable benefits and added value, which is why an increasing number of municipalities recognize their advantages in the local context. In Ilirska Bistrica, we are preparing the second-generation SUMP. We work on improving local transport planning practice to ensure accessibility with various modes of travel, not only by car, and we improve capacity within the municipality.
